About Us
Soundscape Studio is your premier destination for audio production and recording. Backed by over 15 years of expertise in sound engineering and recording, we offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet your unique needs. Our deep-rooted connection with our sister companies – Vertigo Sound, and The Stagedoor – allows us do more than just record. From demos, to full albums, to organising promotional events at The Stagedoor, our team of skilled professionals is dedicated to delivering exceptional results that exceed your expectations.
Vertigo’s Journey began in 2019 with Sound, where we specialize in designing, installing, and engineering expansive sound and lighting systems for festivals and events. Creating immersive and unforgettable visual and audio experiences, transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary environments.
The Stagedoor is our cocktail bar and live music venue with a theatrical flair. Illuminated by 50 stage lights and featuring a powerful PA system, including an 8 way line array, acoustically designed side fills, and 2 quad 18″ Ohm subs. Our goal is to capture the rich music culture of the North West and provide a unique space for artists to share their passion with an audience.
The Stagedoor’s adjoining suite houses our recording studio. As a result of our long history in recording, engineering, and live music, opening the studio was a seamless transition for us. We aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where artists can focus on their craft and produce high-quality recordings.
It all started with Vertigo Sound…
After 9 years of professional sound engineering, including working as a senior engineer at The Guild Hall in Preston, Mark launched Vertigo Sound. A company specialising in sound and lighting design, hire, and engineering. This took him all over the UK, engineering 100’s of bands and tribute acts in theatres, venues, and festivals, working with the likes of the Pigeon Detectives Reuben James, Paul Young, The Cheeky Girls, Evil Blizzard, and even Barry from Eastenders!
The Stagedoor takes the spotlight
What was once Vertigo Sound’s warehouse, located in a 100 year old corn mill, became the setting for our dream – a high class cocktail bar and venue that puts quality and attention to detail at the forefront of everything we do, from the smallest drink garnish to the festival quality PA. In 10 months, with the help of local trades, we built a beautiful space – a venue that can transform to suite any occasion – a modular stage, flexible seating and standing arrangements, 50 stage lights, and stunning decor.
Introducing Soundscape Studio
With the Stagedoor thriving, we turned our attention to an underutilised suite right next door. By combining our years of experience in the industry, and the foundations we had already built, we created a beautiful, professional recording studio. Our mission is to provide the ideal space and expertise for local artists to produce high quality recordings that are a testament to their creativity.
